DESCRIPTION:WE’RE SORRY – REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.  \n  \nIn partnership with the West Central Texas Council of Governments’ Community Health and Development Center\, TMCN will again host the annual Newly Elected Officials Seminar on July 13th  at the COG. \n  \nThis seminar is intended for newly elected City Council/Commission members as well as any city official wanting a refresher on the best practices of public service. \n  \nThe Seminar will be facilitated by Cisco City Manager Darwin Archer and include the following topics: \n\nParliamentary Procedure/Open Meetings Act\nMaking Dollars Count in Your Budget\nMaximizing Your Economic Development Power\nEthics and Conflicts of Interest\nEffective Working Relationships – Presented by Brownwood City Manager Emily Crawford and Mayor Steven Hayes\nDeveloping Viable Communities Using Grants\n\n  \nThe Seminar will be held in-person in the Large Conference Room of the West Central Texas Council of Governments located at 3702 Loop 322 in Abilene. \n  \nThe Seminar will begin at 8:30 am and end by 4:30 pm. The cost is $25 and includes all presentations\, refreshments and lunch.
