Patrick Murphy and Holli Hullum along with business mentor Shawn Russell envisioned the need to recognize the significant educational impact of the city’s founder and create a welcoming entrance to Early High School for students as well as teachers and parents. Patrick and Holli set about to sell their vision, solicit donations for supplies, engage numerous volunteers and lead that team in some amazing transformations at the school. The project involved repurposing areas to include setting huge boulders and a life-size longhorn statue, cleaning out neglected flower gardens and replanting, and hauling massive amounts of new dirt and gravel. The results were nothing short of remarkable! The school’s entrance provides a visible source of pride not only on the school property itself but to local citizens and visitors to the community. Amazing job Patrick and Hollli – this project will impact your community long into the future.
